Statistical Terms

Mediation Case

• A case where mediation is applied for as an industrial action is occurred due to disagreements between labor and management on working conditions such as wages, working hours, welfare, dismissal, and other treatments.
• • Mediation Settled: The mediation proposal has been accepted, or the case has been dropped due to a mutual agreement through arbitration of the LRC.
  • Mediation Unsettled: The mediation proposal has been rejected, or the mediation has been called off.
  • Suspension of Mediation: The parties concerned do not wish the presentation a mediation proposal or have a wide gap in opinion.
  • Administrative Guidance: When the matter is recognized as not subject to mediation or arbitration.
  • Mediation Settlement Rate: (mediation settled)/(mediation settled + mediation unsettled) ×100

Adjudication Case

• A case where the employee or the labor union requests a remedy against the employer's unfair dismissal or unfair labor practices to the LRC.

Discrimination Correction Case

• A case where non-regular employees (term-based, part time, and dispatched employees) file for discrimination correction with the LRC when they receive unfair treatments without an understandable reason from their employers in terms of wages and other working conditions.
